Why I Love Coconut Oil

Ever since we bought a jar of coconut oil to make natural popcorn, I’ve been using this wonderful product for all sorts of beauty treatments. I keep a jar in the kitchen, and a mini glass container of the oil on my vanity so that I can use it every day.

Here are just a few reasons why I love coconut oil:

Good Saturated Fats

Vegetable and canola oils that are commonly used in fried or processed foods stand no chance to this “miracle in a jar”. Coconut oil is a good saturated fat, meaning that it can boost your HDL levels, or your “good” cholesterol. Coconut oil is a great replacement for any other vegetable oil or butter product that you normally use in your kitchen.

Moisturizes your skin

Coconut oil has relatively small particles, meaning that it can penetrate the skin better than other oils. I love applying a thin layer of coconut oil as a mask at night, or using it as a hair mask before the shower.

Tastes Incredible

This product can be spread on toast, added to smoothies to add creaminess, or used in the kitchen as a substitute for butter.

Sooo Many Benefits

The oil can be used as a teeth-whitener, anti-fungal or anti-bacterial agent, and so much more.

Here is my favorite jar of organic coconut oil that I use both in cooking and in my skincare routine.
